SHREWSBURY DISTRICT FOOTBALL

COMPETITION RULES 

1  Pupils can only play in their own age groups. (i.e. year 7 pupils cannot play in year 8 teams)

2  Match Duration –

  • U12 and U13 – 30 minutes each way
  • U14 and U15 – 35 minutes each way
  • U16 – 40 minutes each way

3  Match Balls –

  • For U12 and U13 matches use a size 4 ball.
  • For U14, U15 and U16 matches use a size 5 ball.

4  Number of – 5 outfield players and 1 substitute goalkeeper of
Substitutes which any can be used at any time (Rolling Subs).

5  In the event of a draw extra time must be played. Time is agreed between the two teams prior to kick off. In the event of the game still being a draw penalty kicks will be taken to decide the outcome of the match.

6  The first named team in the draw is responsible for organising the fixture and the winning team is responsible for forwarding the result of the game to: Pete Walters at the Priory School telephone number – 01743 284000 or email:  paw@priory.shropshire.sch.uk

7  In the event of a player being dismissed from the field of play, the player concerned will not be allowed to participate in the remainder of the competition. This information must also be reported when forwarding results and then be passed on to the County Schools F.A

8  In the event of a DRAW after full time the U-15 and U-16 finals ONLY will progress to extra-time and penalties to decide the outcome of the match. In all other finals the trophy will be shared.

At this moment in time I can not confirm where and when the finals are to be played. Confirmation will be sent to school as soon as we have this information.

To bring the competition into line with other competitions; if the two teams named cannot play the fixture by the specified date, a coin will be tossed to decide the outcome of the match, unless of course, there are very exceptional circumstances.

COMPETITION DEADLINE DATES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
QUARTER FINAL MATCHES – BY THE END OF FEBRUARY 2015
SEMI FINAL MATCHES – BY THE END OF MARCH 2015
